It was cancelled due to lack of sales, but this was more due to a new “return” policy, which allowed mom & pop stores to return comics for cash, and they’d claim these, and then take them for resale on the beginnings of the comic book aftermarket, and sell Green Lanterns, Strange Adventures (with Deadman) and Kirby’s Fourth World stuff for big bucks!

But, it killed itself, as then it looked like the books weren’t selling, and they were cancelled prematurely!

Though, decades later, these stories were all collected and this particular issue has been reprinted MANY times!
