This comic I just picked up at Motor City Con in 2010. Kind of hard to find in a cheap price in good condition. I was wondering why I could not find Thor 337 in all the back bins, little realizing that it was the first appearance of Beta Ray. So I was lucky to find a good one for 5 bucks. I wonder if he has a brother named Gamma or Alpha. Maybe a female called Sigma Gams, Or Sigma Thigh?

This issue came out just before Chicago Comicon that summer, and I’ll never forget how then Marvel EiC Jim Shooter was gushing about this comic at Marvel’s panel, and rightfully so. After that, a copy was not to be had at that con!

So it’ll always be a summer comic to me, Sean.

I recently just finished off my getting my hands on the complete Walt Simonson run on Thor and I’m looking forward to checking it out. I’m going to wait until the winter months though, I don’t know why but I feel like this run should be read in the winter when it’s snowing, who knows, maybe it’s the frost giants getting to me.
