I have all of the books you guys were just referencing. I’m looking to finally let go of some of my collections and use to have way more but i noticedrecently ive been taken from. Can’t do nothing bout it now. But luckily i still have a good amount of my comicsleft. How should i go bout selling or consigning my books with you guys here?

Great stuff, Greg–brought back good memories. I loved KAMANDI and remember it fondly, both as a kid and adult. I never really got much of the Planet Of The Apes “rip-off” criticism at the time as it was, as you say, just a springboard to so much more. More than nearly any other of his amazing titles, I wish I could have seen how he would have brought this to conclusion.

I preferred Mike Royer’s inking to Berry’s, but I think Berry was a fellow Detroiter, wasn’t he?

Oh, BTW, not all of Jack’s Fourth World stuff was cancelled when this came out. In fact, the last issues of NEW GODS and FOREVER people were cover-dated the same date as KAMANDI #1, and MISTER MIRACLE’s last issue (by Jack) wasn’t until 1974.

Great book. I think Kamandi is Kirby’s best DC work, as I never was much of a fan of the Fourth World stuff!
