Time sure does fly, doesn’t it?  It’s Friday once again, and time for a brand spanking new Fabulous Find.  This week I’ve brought out of the collectibles vault the 1978 Marvel Comics Super-Heroes Card Game put out by the Milton Bradley Company.  It is a matching game where you try to match a pair of super-heroes and avoid the lone Doctor Doom card.  If you get stuck with Doom, you lose!

Here is the box for the card game, it measures 6 inches by 7 1/2 inches:

The cards are oversized, and have very nice graphics done by Marvel artists.  They measure 3 1/2 inches by 5 3/4 inches.  There are a total of thirty-nine (39) cards, as you can see by the blurb on the box above.  The cards are numbered 1 through 19 and there are two each of these cards. These are the super-hero cards.  Then there is a single Doctor Doom card.

Actually there is a fortieth (40) card, with the instructions for the game printed on both sides.  But since it’s not used in the game play, I guess they don’t count it.

Here is a picture of all the cards:

And in case you’d like a closer look at some of the cards, here are a couple of the heroes, as well as, the dreaded Doctor Doom.

And here is the Doctor Doom card, as promised:

Pretty sweet! Oh, here is the back of the cards, as well, just to be complete:

The game is aimed at children between the ages of six (6) and twelve (12), but that doesn’t mean older fans can’t still enjoy the game, especially if you’re playing it with your child or grandchild.

If you can’t tell from the picture of all the cards the heroes represented are as follows:

1   Spider-Man

2   Hulk

3   Mister Fantastic

4   The Thing

5   Human Torch

6   Invisible Girl

7   Captain America

8   Iron Man

9   Thor

10  Captain Marvel

11  Doctor Strange

12  Daredevil

13  Black Panther

14  The Falcon

15  Silver Surfer

16  Ghost Rider

17  Hawkeye

18  The Vision and

19  Scarlet Witch

Anyway, that’s it for this week’s Fabulous Find.  Please come back next week for a new RETRO REVIEW.  Until then, be seeing you …
