So first off, let me apologize for being AWOL for the last month or so. Between the pandemic issues and the whole election shenanigans’ I just wasn’t in the mood to write anything. But Christmas is only a week away, so I thought I’d share my latest favorite Christmas album. It’s entitled; “Socks” and it is by JD McPherson. It was released in November 2018, or two years ago, though I only discovered it November, last year.
Here is the front cover:

JD was born in Southeastern Oklahoma in 1977. He was born Jonathan David McPherson, but now goes by JD. If I had to put him in a genre, I guess I’d say ..he has an old-school 1950s R & B sound.
His songs are fun and humorous and well worth a listen. He’s got a couple of albums/cds to his credit, but I only have this, his holiday album. my favorite song is the title song; Socks, which is the fourth (4) song on the album.
Here is the reverse side of the cover, which provides the track listing, so you can see the titles to the other songs on the album. It’s high in my Christmas rotation both last year and this one, as well.

Here is also a link to YouTube, so you can give a listen and make up your own mind if this is an album you should add to your Christmas collection. I definitely recommend highly, if that might influence you any.
So Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday to you all. I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy, as well as, safe in this truly unusual year. I’m sure looking forward to 2021!
And I’m hoping to see a lot of you, sometime next year, at the store’s new location for a live auction, or just around the shop! And if you can join us physically, then drop me a line here in the comments, or say hi once our auctions go “live” again. Though I have no idea when that might be as I write this post.
be seeing you …
