Eyes front, adoring fans! It wouldn’t be another year at Back to the Past without evolution constantly moving us forward, so here’s a few things you need to know about our store heading into the Fall of 2020.
So Long, Farewell, auf Wiedersehen, Goodbye!
Back when I bought the company in 2018 (it’s been TWO YEARS already??), Andy and I knew that the clock was ticking and one day, not far off, Andy was going to pull on his spurs and disappear west into the Montana sunset.
Even so, knowing that this fateful event was eventually coming is very different than the actual day it happens. It is bittersweet for me to announce that September was Andy’s last month as an employee of Back to the Past. We’re going to miss his obscure blend of charm and crankiness around here!
If you need him to tell you all about how DC and Marvel are getting it all wrong, you’re going to have to head out to Bozeman, Montana to hear about it.
He tells us that the secret to life is a Bacardi and Coke every night around 5:30 and a trusty canine companion at your side, so we’re hoisting a tankard of the stuff and wishing him well on the next chapter of the Cirinesi legacy.
Safe travels and may every box you open contain an Action #1, my friend!
The Sun Also Rises…
Back to the Past is once again on the move! Although I’ve growled “This is the last damn time we’re moving” every few years, we are busting at the seams because of the amazing growth we’ve been experiencing helping families and estates bring collections to market.
Our new location is about 3 times the size of our Livonia store and is located in Wixom, Michigan near Wixom Road and Pontiac Trail. We’ll share the address as we get closer to opening up, but right now we’re estimating that we should be operating in the new spot in the first week or two of November.
It’s a huge space and we can’t wait for you guys to see it, so keep your eyes right here for full details, including the exact address, in the next couple weeks.
